Dr. Mercer started preaching after ordination in 1938. His preaching career spanned 41 years until retirement and then another ten in retirement. A complete list of sermon titles his been impossible to produce since many records have been lost, but historical searches and faithful parishioners have helped to compse the following list. It is submitted here as a study in themes, issues, interests of the church and beliefs of the minister. It provides an insight into a lifetime of preaching touches.
